I have drilled two Storm Crux balls. Crux 1 is drilled 50 x 3.5 x 30 with a small P2 hole and a 1500 grit surface. Crux 2 is drilled 80 x 4 x 50 with no extra hole and a 4000 grit surface.
I have been using Crux 1 with success at Springdale Bowl on their normal house shot. By keeping the surface a little rough I get a good midlane read and strong finish with good carry. I have enjoyed this ball and it is my go to ball when the lanes demand something aggressive. Here at Rogers, I have had some success playing a tight line straight down 10 to 12. This shot works especially well when the outside is over under and the inside want to push a little. When some balls want to float, the Crux will finish.
The second Crux (Crux 2) with a larger dual angle sum and smoother surface is setup to provide an asymmetrical match to my IQ Tour Solid. I am pretty happy with the results. The Crux is stronger in overall motion, but not so much I need to move to a different part of the lane. Sometimes I need a little more punch when using the IQ Tour, I know I can grab my Crux and keep those corner pins falling.
